Welcome!
Welcome Back Cadets and welcome all new Cadets. We look forward to a great JROTC year at Spruce creek High School. We hope you all had a great summer and are ready to "hit the ground running" as cadets in the best JROTC program in all volusia county schools. "we really hope to have a "positive impact" as a cadet/student here at creek. It was a great summer but some cadets started the summer "training" in South Carolina. Instead of starting their summer vacation or sleeping in. 10 JROTC cadets attended a 6 day leadership course (CLC) at the Citadel in Charleston, south Carolina.
The annual challenge is typically attended by 300 cadets from over 20 Air Force JROTC schools. Spruce creek JROTC cadets attended for the first time. These cadets trained extensively leading up to their challenging trip. CLC is modeled after active basic training courses and consists of myriad of challenges throughout the nearly 17 hour day. Spruce creek cadets were: Thomas Smola, Brett Krafft, Corey Spitz, Dalton Hopkins, Ariele Sizemore, Gina Beaulieu, Brandon Bastian, Sean Deree, Caleb O'Connor, and Jake Fullam. Congratulations on an outstanding job representing Spruce Creek Army JROTC. Also, a few cadets have attained Eagle Scout over the course of last year. Sean Deree and Michael Lehr. Congratulations and great job. Again, welcome back to school to our former cadets and welcome to the family to our new cadets! Remember- its about TEAM in JROTC and we were always "STRONGER TOGETHER!" HOOAH!!!!-Major Ochoa
